Let's Find Some New Drinks This Weekend
It should come as no surprise that a team based in San Francisco that creates cocktail mixers and hard seltzers has walked into some of the best bars in San Francisco. And while this has been probably the toughest stretch in a century for bars and restaurants, the people and drinks behind them are stronger and more innovative than ever.
With spring right around the corner, it’s time to emerge from the winter of same-old drinks from the grocery store and go explore the crafty new beverages being concocted at some of the best bars of San Francisco.
Zeitgeist
Oh Zeitgeist. If you’ve lived in the city long enough, you’ve at some point spent a weekend afternoon here relishing in the sunshine on their famous backyard beer garden with a people-watch worthy combination of big tech, hipsters, and “don’t-bother-me I’m drinking” regulars. The beer garden at Zeitgeist is one of the closest things in the world to a utopia, where people from all walks have cheerily gathered since 1977 to let loose and have a good time at communal tables in the sun. With over 50 beers on tap and one of San Francisco’s best bloody mary’s, Zeitgeist is a must on a sunny San Francsico afternoon.
Richmond Republic
March Madness is upon us, meaning bars with a TV are extra important right now. Richmond Republic has the perfect setup to catch a game, along with the best craft beers in Northern California on tap. Not feeling beer? Richmond Republic also has FICKS Mango Hard Seltzer on tap so you can enjoy some tropical mango seltzer while your bracket is getting busted. This is one of the best places for craft beer (and seltzer) in San Francisco, and will always have something new for you to try.
Great American Music Hall
Concerts are BACK, baby! And Great American Music Hall is one of the best places in San Francisco to catch shows from your favorite indie artist, while also having a surprisingly awesome menu of food and drinks to pair with the music. There’s not a bad seat in the house given the interior’s remarkable acoustics, so feel free to sip your cocktail in the back for a mellow-mood show.
Bond Bar
Dress hip, because this bar is right in the middle of San Francisco’s Mission Neighborhood – home to Dolores Park, beautifully painted murals, and some of San Francsico’s hottest bars and restaurants. Count Bond Bar as one of them. With its giant projection screen and ornate wood interior, you almost feel like you’re drinking cocktails in a classic Victorian foyer of the future. Give their new Kyiv Mule a try for a fiery kick in your cocktail.
The Market
The return to the office has begun, and you can see it at The Market conveniently located below the Twitter’s headquarters. With a food hall layout on this block housing Twitter’s favorite restaurants like Northern Ducks, Cadillac Bar, and Tony’s Slice House, The Market is a perfect place to go when you can’t decide exactly what to eat. It lives up to its name by also offering a grocery market stocked with local favorites from around the Bay Area so you can grab lunch, drink a cocktail, grocery shop, and tweet about it all without leaving the block.
